Patmos, Lipsi

1^st Day

Gathering at the port, embarkation, settling in cabins and departure to Patmos.

2^nd Day

Arrival at Patmos, check in at hotel, rest. In the morning we will visit the Monastery of the Annunciation located southwest of the country and was built in 1613 by Nicephorus, monk of the Great Monastery.

The foundation of the Monastery in 1936 by Amfilohije Makris, monk. Then we will do the tour of the island. We will admire its wonderful beaches Grykou, Kampou and Lampi.

Late afternoon return to our hotel.

3^rd Day

Visit the Cave of the Apocalypse. Pilgrimage to the monastery of St. John the Theologian. The Holy Cave located in the middle of the road leading from Skala to Chora. Here, in the cave where he lived with his assistant Prochoros, the apostle John wrote the Book of Revelation, the last major book of the Bible.

Pilgrimage to the Monastery Zoodochou Pigis, southwest of the Grand Monastery. At noon we will take a boat to go to the nearby island of Lipsi, where we will visit the church of St. John the Theologian with the blue dome.

Then we will visit the famous Virgin of Death. The church was named so because the miraculous hagiography of the Virgin Mary depicted while hugging dead Christ Crucified .

Late in the afternoon we will return to Patmos where we will have free time in port for one last ride. Boarding the ship, settling in cabins and departure to the port of Piraeus. Arrival the next early morning.
